What are the practical application areas of the parallel robots?

A parallel robot can be defined as a closed-loop mechanism in which the moving platform and the fixed platform are connected by at least two independent kinematic chains and the mechanism has two or more degrees of freedom and is driven in parallel.

The parallel robot has no cumulative error and high precision.  The driving device can be placed on a fixed platform or close to the position of the fixed platform, so that the moving part of light weight, high speed, good dynamic response;  Compact structure, high stiffness, large bearing capacity;  Small working space and other characteristics.
